MORPHOLOGY AND ANATOMY OF BOSCHNIAKIA ROSSICA TUMOUR BODY

Abstract: Tumour-body of Bosclmiakia rossica is white or dark brown. It differed in size. Young tumour-body is ball, after grown, is irregular-lump. The characteristics of anatomy is as follow. The parasitic root was formed at linking up host root.A number of parenchyma cells and spiral thickening tracheid entered xylem and linked up root xylem. The phloem of parasitic root linked up root phloem and short of fiber.There was hypha in 1-10layers cell of surface in young tumour-body base. Grown tumour-body formed periderm, vascular bundle and a lot of pith cells. The top of tumour-body formed shoot apex from bud primordium, and differentiated growing point, leaf primordium. young leaf and axillary bud primordium.Young leaf didn't differentiated palisade tissue and spongy tissue and young leaf was not developed, there was not chloroplast in leaf.
