In the present thesis, the taxonomic hitory of the genus
Torreya
was reviewed.Based pn external morphological features and evidence from other aspects, thetaxonomy of
Torreya
was studied. Six species, two varieties and eleven cultivars were recognized in the genus
Torreya
. The present revision contains one new variety (
T. grandis
var.
jiulongshanensis
. one new combination (
T. fargesii
var.
yvnnanensis
)and sts new cultivars. The authors support the viewpoints that
Torreya
species should be separated into two sections according to the rumination of the albumenin the of nuts, and
Torreya
should be the most advanced genus in the family Taxaceae.

The seeds of five species of
Calystegia
(
C. dahurica
,
C.hederacea
,
C.pellita
,
C.sepium
,
C.soldanella
)in China have been studied under stereoscopic microscope and electron scanning microscope. The results indicate that the seeds are different in size, hilum, ornamentation and protuberance of seed coat, and can be divided into two types:sepium type and pellita type. The sepium type including the first three species is smaller and verrucate, the verrucate protuberance is peaklike, linked together or alone, and has developed from extremely protroding of the intercellular walls of several adjacent testa cells, the ornamentation of seed coat is reticulate; the Pellita type including the other two species is larger and without verruca, and the seed coat ornamentation is ruminate. The morphological characteristic of the seeds are different, and can be used as taxonomic evidence of this genus. The authors consider that the two types of seeds can be used as the foundation for dividing the genus into two section, and the sepium type may be more evolutionary while the pellita type is primitive.

The spore is tetrahedral, trilete. The patterns of spore germination is of Vittaria-type (nayar 1971). Generally the germ filaments develop 2-12cells long, uniseriate, or multiserite. The prothalli are naked and cordate. The sex organs are rather large. It seems that these are common primitive characteristics of the family. The prothallial development is the Adiantum-type, or Ceratopteris-type (Nayar 1971) or the mediate between the two types. It implies that the prothalli are more variable in the development of the taxon, and also reflect the characteristics of the family.

Orycllophragmus violaceus
is a biennial herb, its root system is a tap root system tvith secondary structure. The primary xylem of man root is diarch and secondary xylem is well developed. In lateral root, there is same structure with the main root.Activity of cambium is variable with the seasons, thus a growth ring can be seen in the cross section. In winter, the absorb roots are still alive and there isn't any overwintering root primordium. The old absorb roots are replaced by the new ones continuously, and we can't see periodicity changes obviously. The amount of starch in the root changes with seasons and developmental stages. The two peaks of starch accumlation appear before winter comes and after the plant turns green in the second year. Different seeding date can influence the accumulation of starch and the plant turning green in the spring. Study on developmental morphology of
O.violaceus
root system not only possesses theoretical significance for the understanding ofits root system completely and correctly, but also guides its cultivation and managment.

Tumour-body of Bosclmiakia rossica is white or dark brown. It differed in size. Young tumour-body is ball, after grown, is irregular-lump. The characteristics of anatomy is as follow. The parasitic root was formed at linking up host root.A number of parenchyma cells and spiral thickening tracheid entered xylem and linked up root xylem. The phloem of parasitic root linked up root phloem and short of fiber. There was hypha in 1-10layers cell of surface in young tumour-body base. Grown tumour-body formed periderm, vascular bundle and a lot of pith cells. The top of tumour-body formed shoot apex from bud primordium, and differentiated growing point, leaf primordium. young leaf and axillary bud primordium.Young leaf didn't differentiated palisade tissue and spongy tissue and young leaf was not developed, there was not chloroplast in leaf.

We analyze ct-DNA of tomato which is resistant and sensitive to TMV with restriction enzyme. Our electrophoretogram of BamHI, EcoRI. Pst I is similar to other report.Molecular weight of ct-DNA is 156. 9kb, it is similar to others' study. We find some difference in BamHI EcoRI, PSt I electrophoretogram between resistant group and sensitive group. We guess this maybe the alternation of base sequence or insertion or deletion of short DNA sequence. We also infer that nucleus genome and chloroplast genome together decide the resistance of plant to Tobbacco Mossic Virus.

In this paper, the
Quercus variabilis
forests in Manghe Natural Conservation were studied using methods of hierarchical classification, polar ordination(PO), principal component analysis(PCA), and correspondence analysis(CA).As a result, the
Quercus variabilis
forests were divided into five associations. Furthermore, the analysis of PO, PCA and CA reflected the continuous changes of vegetation and the environmental variation.

The isoperoxidase of 17 cultivars of
Cllimonanthus praecox
(Linn.) Link were analysed by means of pozyarclamid gel electrophoresis. The results indicated that the isoperoxidase patterns were remarkably different among the varieties had the respective characteristic isoperoxidase pattern on the basis of the band number, Rf, activity and width. Moreover, the resemblance of the isoperoxidase patterns of 17 cultivars of
Chimonanthus praecox
(Linn.)Link were analysed with the methods of arranging and clustering analysis. The results indicated that the isoperoxidese patterns could be analysed comprehensively and some one-sideness could be avoide 4. This can provide new bases and tools for distinguishing and identifing quantitatively the cultivars of
Chimonanthus praeeox
.
