Abstract: One capsula of Lilium concolor salisb. var. pulchellum (Fisch.) Regel contains 33 to 208 seeds whose weight per 1000 seeds is 3.5g, germintion rate (66.0±3.8)% and longivity 2 years. Plant initiates to differentiate one flower in 2 years old in seedling nursery. And flowering rate of the lily is 56.6% but flowers are serious malformation. The 66.7% of malformation rate, which includes 16.7% of corolla malformation and 20% of gynecium malformation, results in 20.0% of fecandity. The average number of mature seeds per capsula is 75 seeds. All plants can differentiate 1 to 3 flowers whose corolla is normal and malformation rate of gynecium 35.1% in 3-years old. While the fertility rate of the lily is 62.1%. The reason of flower malformation, especially gynecium malformation, may be an adaptation favouring the continuance of the population under cultural conditior.
