Abstract: The pollen morphology and the wall ultrastructure of Kmeria septentrionalis are first reported in this paper. The pollen morphology shows similarity to the remainder of the family Magnoliaceae, and belongs to the primitive type within the present angiosperms. The wall ultrastructure shows the rugulate ornamentation of exine; sinuous tectum with perforations; very thin columellae, typical columella, shorter and erect, and belongs to the advanced type within the tribe Magnolieae.
