Abstract: Character of Ri-plasmid, molecular mechanism, and application in plant gene engineering with Ri-plasmid as a new vector of using to transform plant cell, the method of Ri-plasmid-mediated genetransfer of plant were described. And perspectives for application of Agrobacterium rhizogenes in the other fields such as medicine and/or food production, and wood breeding and proliferation were introduced in this review.
