Origin and Taxonomic Position of Chinese Toon [Toona sinesis (A. Juss.) Roem.]

Abstract

Abstract: The origin of Chinese toon has studied in accordence with phytogeography and the theory of angiosperm origin.According to the authors' investigation, the source of Chinese toon originates from the region of northeastern India and Burma.By reviewing the evolutional history of the taxonomic position of Chinese toon, the tooon no doubt belongs to Toona Roem of Meliaceae.According to toon allozyme analysis it has been proved that three exist variations in toon speceies, however the variations of toon remain to be discovery.Research and naming.
