STUDY ON THE INTRODUCTION OF CHINESE SEABUCKTHORN AND THE MODEL OF ARTIFICIAL MIX OF SPRUCE WITH IT IN COLD HIGH-MOUNTAIN FOREST AREA

Abstract: Chinese seabuckthorn(Hippophae rhamnoides Subsp. sinensis) introduced from Liaoning provenance into the cold high-mountain forest area is completely adaptable to the area's ecological conditions. The seabuckthorns have grown luxuriantly and blossom and bear fruits no rmally. In the plantations of spruce(Picea koraiensis) mixed with introduced Chinese seabuckthorn, the stands have grown well and the seabuckthorns, as an associated species, have show ed remarkable ecological benefit and economic benefit.
