Abstract: Spores of 5 species of Phymatosorus from China were examined under LM and SEM, 2 species are reported for the first time under SEM, the morphological characters of each species are described, with discussion of its implication on the systematics and paly nology in Microso rioideae(Polypodiaceae). The evidence from spore morphological characters supports Nooteboom's(1997) treatments of new species(P. hainanensis).
