Abstract: The contents of salidroside in two populations of varied wild growing colonies and two samples of cultivated root of Rhodiola sachalinensis at different places were measured by high performance capillary electrophoresis comparatively. The results demonstrated that analytical method is of high performance, simple, sensitive, and reliable. The contents of salidroside in cultivated and wild growing roots of Rhodiola sachalinensis present a difference, and the contents in different natural colonies show varied too.

Key words: salidroside, high performance capillary electrophoresis, Rhodiola sachalinensis A. Bor
