Abstract: kinds of mineral elements(Cd, Cr, Mn, Ni, Pb, Cu, Fe, Zn, K and Mg) of Paeonia suffruticosa var. spontanea in Jishan, shanxi province were determinated by atomic absorption spectroscopy, the distribution characteristics and the accumulation index were also investigated in this paper. The results shows that there is evident difference of the mineral elements in different organs. The contents of K, Mg, Mn, Ni, Cd, Cr, Pb are higher in leaves and Fe, Zn, Cu are higher in root, stem and petiole. Majority mineral elements are minimum. On analyzing the concentration factor of all the elements, the concentration factor of K, Mg, Mn, Fe, Zn are higher in Paeonia suffruticosa var. spontanea, the concentration factor of leaf were higher than other organs. the correlation among Zn, Cd, Cr, Pb, Mn, Fe, Ni and Cu were statistically significant. In addition, relationship between all the elements were studied by means of correlation analysis. The results are as follows:There are significant correlation among Zn, Cd, Cr, Pb, Mn, Fe, Cu and Ni, and the correlation were statistically significant between K and Mg. Moreover, There existed a significant correlation between the elements in soil and plant.
