Abstract: Along with the progress of biological science, ESTs (expressed sequence tags) have become an important resource for SSR (simple sequence repeat) marker development. 22 458 ESTs of Rosaceae from the database of dbEST were screened, then using SSRHunter1.3 software, 22 527 SSRs were selected out. 61 EST-SSR primers were designed and synthesized through Primer 5.0 software. All primer pairs were designed for polymorphism analysis in 8 genotypes of Armeniaca cathayana. Ten primer pairs showed the amplification and polymorphisms, whose sequences were recorded, which would lay a technical foundation in molecular marker assisted selection breeding for A.cathayana.

Key words: Armeniaca cathayana, EST(expressed sequence tag), SSR(simple sequence repeat)
