EXAMINATION ON THE TYPE OF ZELKOVA SPACH(ULMACEAE)

Abstract: Based on International Code of Botanical Nomenclature and examination of related materials, it is certain that the type of Zelkova Spach is Z. carpinifolia(Pall.) K. Koch., but not Z. crenata Spach or Z. carpinifolia(Pall.) Dipp. as usually recognized.
