Abstract: Morphological and genomic DNA diversities of somaclonal variation in transgenic poplar, rice and sugarcane were analyzed in the present paper. The following questions were discussed:1)morphological changes of somaclonal variations of the transgenic plants, 2)genomic DNA changes, 3)the correlation between morphological and DNA changes, 4)inheritability of the morphological and DNA alteration, 5)causes of somaclonal variation in transgenic plants, and 6) utilities of transgenic plants bearing somaclonal variation in agricultural practice.
