Abstract: Somatic embryo induction was the key in soybean regeneration. Genetype, inducing photoperiod, explant pod site in and sucrose concentration were the main factors in the somatic embryo induction, which lead to the different embryogenesis efficiency and the number of normal embryos. Cultivars Hefeng25 and Dongnong7819 were desiable genotype.2-4mm long immature cotyledons from the lower part of plant at the early stage of growth and develpment were more efficent for embryogenesis. The embryogenesis frequncy under four photoperiod were similar, but the frequncy of normal embryos was higher under continuous dim light. NAA was superior to 2, 4-D in embryogenesis;combination of 10mg/lNAA and 1.5% sucrose was better.
