Abstract: The relations between vegetative growth and reproduction is one of the important substances in plant reproductive ecology. There have been many research reports abroad in this field since 1970's. However the domestic reports are rare. The experiments on the relations between vegetative growth and reproduction in Pinus tabulaeformis were conducted in an artificial population. The results show that there are not significant different between one year female shoots and male shoots in the same direction, except the diameters in the west, and biomasses in the east and west. There are significant different between new growing female shoots and male shoots in spore biomass, shoot length and shoot biomass in the same direction. The length, diameter, biomass of same sexual shoots are significantly different among the four directions(in west, east, south and north).
