Abstract: The cladistic analysis of Artemisia Linn. and its allied genera wouldbe an interesting conclusion, which supports the hypothesis of Y. R. Ling(1982) on the system and the relationship of Artemisia Linn. in. China aswell as established genera Elachanthemum Ling et Y. R. Ling and Stilpnolepis Krasch. But the cladistics would show Sect. Artanacetum(Rzazad.) Po-ljak. has closer affinities to Subgen. Dracunculus (Bess.) Peterm.) thanthat to Subgen. Artemisia, even if it contains the fertile hermaphroditeflorets in the capitula, and which are arranged in corymb in corymbpaniculate inflorescences, that differ from the sterile hermaphroditeflorets in the capitula and which are in other types of inflorescencesin Subgen. Dracunculus (Bess.) Peterm. Besides, according to the analysisauthors recommend to raise a new Subgen. Artanacetum (Rzazad. ) Y. R.Ling et L. Jiang instead of Sect. Artanacetum. (Rzazad. )Poljak. in Artemisia Linn.
