Abstract: In Dongling Mountain area, there are 22 species of fern which belong to 11 families and 14 genus.A species is first recorded in Beijing area.The 14 genera can be grouped into 3 distributional types.Of the 3 types, the cosmopolitan type with 7 genera is at the first position.North temperate type with 5 generals at the second position.The 20 species can be also grouped into 3 types.The east Asian distributional type is at the first position.North temperate type at the second position.Their distributional altitude is from 500m to 1600m.Author's address Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences Beijing 100093.
