Abstract: Polygomum jucundum has typical herkogamy phenomenon. In this paper, the numbers of the pins and thrums, the differences in height of stigma and anther; as well as the seedsetting percentage were statisticed in certain regions of Anhui province. Meanwhile, the morphs ratio was observed; and aniline bule staining technique was used to identify self-incompatibility of pins and thrums. The results showed that (1) the two morphs ratio is 1∶1; (2) the setting percentage of pins is higher than thums; (3) the pollen can germinate on stigma by self-pollination, but the tube cannot reach the ovary.
