Abstract: By measuring the survival rate of overwintering of eight introduced turf grasses and the relative cell membrance permeability, the accumulated contents of soluble sugar and proline of leaves and overwintering organs of the eight turf grasses, the paper found that the accumulated content of soluble sugar is a valuable physiochemical index of comparing the cold resistence of overwintering organs of turf grasses. The relative cell membrance permeability is a valuable index of comparing the cold resistence of leaves of turf grasses.By analyzing the peroxidase isozyme of leaves of the eight introduced turf grasses,we thought that the number of peroxidase isozyme bands can partly indicate the cold resistence of turf grasses. It can only be used as a reference of comparing the cold resistence of plants.
