Abstract: The stipes and rhizomes of Lepisorus including 60 species are investigated.Their transections are observed. The most number of the stipes is 7.The least number of stipes is 2.Acording to the number and form of the vascular bundles, they are divided into 4 types. From the base of stipes to the top, vascular bundles gradually combine, and number gradually reduce. The rhizome sclerenchyma of summer green species is less than that of evergreen species. The rhizome is dictyostelis, with a number of meristeles, varing from 5 to 16.Each meristeles has platelike xylem, surrounded by the phloem. The genus is divided 6 sections. They are Sect.Macrophyton, Sect.Thunbergianus, Sect.Contortus, Sect.chartoceophyton, Sect.Hymenophyton, Sect.Coriacephyton.
