Abstract: Most of the female cones of Picea koftensis are bora in the headers. The female strobile oa the 3rd-5th (8th) verticillate branches generally could provide the information ftbout 80% of tbe seed yield of the whole tree. 3rd-5th(8th) verticillate branches were defined as the information branch The calculation of the female strobile could be predicted the seed yield of the whole tree. The number of the female strobile in the half of crown closely related 1 to that of all of crown so that the following equation was founded, y=0.0275 + 1.8541x. The measuring the value of x (the numders of female strobile in the half of crown) could predict the value of y (the yield of cone of the whole tree). In the planted forest of korean spruce of the same age, the greater of the D. B. H of the tree is, the more the percentage numbers of bearins cone of tree and the seed yield of the whole tree. The seed yield of forest was predicted by means of the method of areraSe standard tree, Thir method is more simple, convenient, feasible and accurate.
