Abstract: Some physiological changes of cold resistance was investigated, when Ruta Graveolens Linn was planted in high latitudes region far from its original place without low temperature under zero. Results showed that, with decrease of temperature, soluble sugar content、soluble protein content and catalase activity increased.Memberance permeability is stable, starch content declined, rate of respiration fell gradually. But cyanide resistant respiration is more steady. It didn't decline appearantly until the temperature dropped to -20℃ while cyanide resistant respiration played a dominant role.

Key words: Ruta Graveolens Linn, Cold resistant, Memberance permeability, Soluble protein, Cyanide resistant respiration
