THE BIOLOGY FEATURES AND CONSERVATION OF ELAEAGNUS MOLLIS A RARE AND ENDANGERED PLANT SPECIES

Abstract: Elaeagnus mollis is one of Chinese endemic plants and it is considered an endangered plant on the brink of extinction.In this paper,a broad literature has been reviewed concerning its habit,morphology、structure、karyotypes、growth、traits、geographic distribution,ecological and community characteristics,nitrogenase activity of root nodules and chemical constituents.Consequently,the reasons for making the plants to the endanged state have been analysed and the effective measures have been put forward to conserve the rare species.
