Abstract: This paper reviews the composition and amounts of plant root exudates, and discusses about the factors affecting root exudation, the sites of exudation, zone of soil influenced by exudates. Finally, large sections are focused on tree root exudation and its influence on soil microorganisms, soil nutritional conditions and the other adjoining plants.
