In this paper authors put forward the ecological potential model of the underground ecological field of Aeurolepidium chinense population by the field experiments and thoretical analysis. There are the some analysis to the potential values in different population density conditions, as well as the seasonal changes for the population. Author also gave the graphic explaination for the two-dimensional behavior graphs drawn by the computer. The results showed that the ecological potential is related to plant growth rate, resource utilization effidency, and root biomass, radius and the interaction distances.

The numerical methods of group average, principal components analysis and principal axes analysis are used in this paper for classifying the 28 plots of Beilun Mountains, Ningbo. The results from these three methods are similar to each oter. The forest types are tentatively divided into seven formations and ten associations, so that a classification system for the forest vegetation of this area is established.

Basod on the results obtained through ten years fixed positional studies, the geography of aquatic plants from Northeast China was discussed in the paper. The natural region of Northeast China should include Northeast Inner Mongolica which can further show the natural geographical caracteristics of the region. The horizontal vegetation zone of aquatic plants was divided into the dispersal patterns of either longitude or latitude. The vertical vegetation zone was clarified with the examples from Changbaishan Mountains etc. The extensing across zones and partitive zones of the distribution of aquatic plants were explored and the areal-types of aquatic plants were also expounded.

Two methods for carrying out tabular sorting classification, X2 block classification and Information entropy classification, are introduced and applied to the analysis of grasslands in Northwest Germany in this paper. The resulats suggests that both techniques are effective and suitable for tabular sorting classification. The community tables arranged by these two techniques show the relationship between vegetation and species clearly and have identical characteristics to Braun-Blanquet methodology.

In the arid and semi-arid areas of the west part of Northeastern China.one of the key factors to agriculture and animal husbandry is about water. The regularity of soil moisture dymamics in this area could be characterized by a dry spring in May and June, a water-sufficient period from Jul. to Sept. (no significant difference between soil layers), and a water-retaining Period from Oct. to Feb. of the next year. The establishment of shelterbelts decreased transpiration and consequently increased soil moisture; but the effect varied with it's distance from the belt, and there exist evidently an optimal Zone and a minimum Zone in Soil moisture content. On this basis, the agricultural planting patterns could be regulated to utilize soil water more efficiently, which provided one approach to watersaving agriculture. It reached the conclusion that the type of shelterbelts, height of trees, composition of tree species, and distances between two belts were all important factors affecting soil moisture distribution in the shelter net, which provided scientific basis to the optimization of shceltfrbelt system.

Four lines of common wheat, Chinese Spring, with different alien cytoplasms, G, Sv, D2 of Mu, were crossed with 11 lines of common weat with different genotypes as parent, in order to explore the relationship between cytoplasmic male sterility and genome by means of observing and analyzing seed-set rate of the crossing generation variation of fertility and Phenotype, and chromosome behaviour at meiosis. The result showed that the seed-set rate of the crossing generation depends on he parent genotype. The fertility in F1 hybrids is very complicated, that is, there are either some fertile hybrids but some sterile hybrids in combinations of crossing diffrent alloplasmic "Chinese Spring" with the same prent, indicating that the fertility is affected by the cytoplasm. Cytoplasmic effect appears on some characters, for in stance, mature period, staminal form, growth power and resistance to diseases, ets. Some nucleus-cytoplasm combinations with significant heterosis could be selected in the offsprings. Some alien cytoplasms affect chromosomal behaviour at meiosis so that bivalent can be increased or decreased in number in pollen mother cells, and some micronuclei formed in tetrads and abnormal tetrads produced.

According to the examined data from fixed positions which are located at four typical sites in the range of Belula platyphlla, this paper adopts the methods of mathematical analysis in the study of the spatial patterns of Betula plalyphylla population with computer calculation and imitation. The results show that with the drop in humidity or the rise in temperature of habitat, the distribution of Betula platypllylla population turns from concentrated to random and with the rise in age, the population shows the same rule of spatial patterns.
