Abstract: With plant micronucleus test technique, the genetic toxicity of chromium-borne waste water, which is taken from Harbin Measuring Instrument and Cutting Tolls Mill, has been studied. Its result shows that the micronucleus can be, have been, induced by chromium-borne waste water from root-tip cell of Allium tuberosum Roxb.and Vicia faba L.The regression equation between the plants and Cr+6-inducer is as follows:y=24.94+127.77x(r=0.996, P<0.01) for Vicia faba L.and y=21.74+100.23x(r=0.900, P<0.01) for Allium tuberosum Roxb.It also is Y=11.17+3.83x(r=0.781, P<0.05) between Allium tuberosum Roxb.and chromium-borne waste water.A simple method, being easy of collecting materials, and a good micronucleus effect are shown by micronucleus test technigue on the root-tip cell of Allium tuberosum Roxb.

Key words: Micronucleus Test Technique, Chromium-borne waste water, Vicia faba L.Allium tuberosum Roxb.
