NUMERICAL CLASSIFICATION FOR THE VEGETATION ON BEILUN, NINGBO

Abstract: The numerical methods of group average, principal components analysis and principal axes analysis are used in this paper for classifying the 28 plots of Beilun Mountains, Ningbo. The results from these three methods are similar to each oter. The forest types are tentatively divided into seven formations and ten associations, so that a classification system for the forest vegetation of this area is established.
